  My wife and I stopped here for a brief stay on a longer tour of northern Spain. The location on a beautiful square with views of the university and cathedral was wonderful. The staff members were all very gracious and helpful. Marvelous restaurants were only a few steps away. We enjoyed listening to the gentle trickling of the fountain in the square and the soft sounds of extraordinarily gifted street musicians wafting through our open window. We were reluctant to leave, but felt we should continue our planned tour, which we did for one more night before scrapping our original plan and returning to Hotel Montes for the remainder of our time in Spain. We will definitely be staying there again. It has been over a year since our stay, and we still talk about it every day.

  Beautiful view on the heart of Santiago. Nice modern rooms, nice people in the restaurant and reception ... But breakfast was very disappointing, it's too expensive for the quality ... Because of this only 4 stars otherwise 5 stars...

  Das Hotel ist sehr groß. Frühstück gibt es direkt neben dem Hinterausgang. Nachts kann man in der ersten Etage noch stundenlang beim einen oder anderen Wein unten die Leute auf der Straße beobachten, und hin und wieder runter auf die Straße gehen. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral. Selbst beim größten Gedränge kommt man in drei Minuten bis zur Kathedrale. Für Feierwütige und Schulklassen ideal. Die Betten sind sehr stabil.

  The room would be 5 stars it was amazing. The hotel. Less as there's not much else. But it was 2 seconds from the cathedral and beautiful.
