  High quality hotel. We had the fittest floor room with a little patio...very nice. Great breakfasts

  Hotel is just steps from city center with excellent late night eateries next door and up the block just in case you get back from touring at midnight as we did. Friendly, helpful staff, and great breakfast for 8.5 euros. Small but nice room. City center is very loud at night so better to be just outside it here.

  We had a wonderful experience with Hotel Altair. When we reached out to them about a room for our family of two adults/two kids, they told us the same thing most hotels did: we needed two rooms. But they had another (much better) option for us too: they own a small flat next door to the hotel with a full size pull out bed in the living room and a small kitchenette. It was lovely and clean and perfect for us. We could walk to everything easily, and it was so nice to deal with the people at the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel (and the apartment) for anyone visiting Santiago.

  Comfortable and clean rooms with excellent service. We arrived relatively late at 11pm and can to leave around 4am to catch a flight. The front desk clerk, Teresa, went far and beyond accommodating us on such short notice and helping us book a taxi. She even work up early to make sure our taxi would arrive. Located on a quaint street. Highly recommended.
