  I've been to seven hotels in Spain so far and this was by far the best! The rooms are beautiful and the bathrooms are modern and well equipped. The restaurant is amazing and the food and staff are great

  Wonderful, friendly, informative staff. Wonderfully appointed rooms. Good food. Incredible setting, amazing surroundings... who could ask for more? In fact, with respect to the staff, we cleared our bill the evening before our departure, as we were leaving early. Upon learning that we were leaving before breakfast was served in their dining room, they prepared two breakfasts to go, ready at 5:00AM the next day. This was overall definitely a wonderful experience.

  Great coffee place. Usually not crowded and very spacious. Get a Galicia Coffee. Great but lots of alcohol.

  This review is in regards to the restaurant. After a fabulous stay and dinner at two other Parador hotels in Villafranca del Bierzo and Santo Domingo de la Calzada while on the Camino, we were disappointed with the service and food quality at Parador's signature location in Santiago. The fish was overlooked, no options available for the menu, tarta de Santiago was stale, prices substantially higher while excluding wine, service was slow, and as peregrinos we felt treated as second class citizens. Excellent wine, lovely decor, and a phenomenal location was somewhat redeeming but not enough for us to return for another meal.
